$1 Million
Twin To Twin Transfusion Syndrome Verdict
In a recent two-week trial, we represented a mother in a case involving the failure to timely perform a laser fetoscopy to treat Twin-to-Twin Transfusion Syndrome (TTTS). Tragically, the twins were stillborn at 21 weeks. This case centered on the emotional distress the mother suffered due to the loss of her pregnancy. After hearing the evidence, the jury found that the physician committed malpractice and awarded $1 million in damages, the exact amount requested during closing arguments. This verdict brings a measure of justice to the family for their devastating loss.
